Our Pastor

Rev. Harris Wilson, the son of late Eliza Frinks was born December 5, 1952. He was nurtured and reared by his greatest inspiration, (his grandmother), the late Mrs. Katie Wilson. Rev. Wilson attended Longs Elementary School and is a graduate of Loris High School. He joined the United States Navy after graduating from high school.

After returning home, Rev. Wilson rejoined the McNeil Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at an early age. His mission at McNeil Chapel was to promote God’s Kingdom by serving as Chairman of the Trustee Board and other capacities.

In September 2001, God called him to be a carrier of His word. The Kingston Lake Missionary Baptist Association ordained Rev. Wilson in March of 2002. Rev. Wilson received a degree of Theology from Langston Bible Institute generated through the Langston Baptist Church in 2003. He was called to shepherd the congregation of the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church on April 4, 2004.

Our Pastor is married to the former Ms. Clara Owens, and is the father of three children: Corey Williamson, Ebony & Shanice Wilson. He is the proud grandfather of Ja’Miyah and Nevaeh, and very special children that are dear, Trustin Brown, Tamaria Johnson, and Le’Bryanna Johnson. After retiring from HTC. Rev. Wilson continued his education at Horry-Georgetown Technical College and received a degree in Welding.

Rev. Wilson is formerly the Vice-President of the Kingston Lake Ministerial Alliance, Chairman of the Executive Board and Ordination Council of the Kingston Lake Association. This man of God continues to study and learn about God while administering His Word to the people.

“Pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” (Ephesians 6:19-20)
