First Family
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given
me that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which
I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as

Rev.
Tommy T. Shubrick, Sr., the son the late Deacon Henry and Mrs. Janie
Sands Shubrick was born and reared in Georgetown, South Carolina.
He is a graduate of Howard High School. Rev. Shubrick received his Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Social Studies from Morris College and his Masters
Degree in secondary education from the University of South Carolina.
He attended Morris College School of Religion Extension.
Rev. Shubrick's professional organizations include membership in the
South Carolina Education Association, National Education Association,
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and the NAACP. He was one of the original
members of the Black History Month Observance. He was awarded a Leadership
Development Program by the Ford Foundation, where he spent a year studying
the low level of self-concept among minority children.
Rev. Shubrick is a member of the New Light Missionary Baptist Church.
As a former member of First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, he was
instrumental in promoting the advancement of the Music Department.
Rev. Shubrick was licensed to preach the Gospel on April 19, l987. He
is the former Moderator of the Georgetown Missionary and Education Union
#l and the clerk of the Jerusalem Missionary and Education Association.
He was ordained for the Gospel Ministry on April 2l, 1996. He was called
to the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in May 1996 and to the Good
Hope Missionary Baptist Church June l996. He is a member of the Kingston
Lake Association. Rev. Shubrick retired from teaching in the Georgetown
Public Schools in l997 and is now an instructor in the Morris College
School of Religion Extension Program and the Howard Optional Program.
Rev. and Mrs. Shubrick are the proud parents of two children: Tommy
Shubrick, Jr. of Maryland and Natasha Shubrick of Illinois and one granddaughter,
Tailah N. Blackmon.
Mrs.
Fostina Graham Shubrick was born in Horry County to Mrs. Flora Lee
Lewis Graham and the late Mr. Fred Graham. She is a graduate of Finklea
High School, Loris, S.C. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Social Studies from Morris College, Sumter, S. C. She also received
a B.A. Degree in English and a Masters Degree in reading from the University
of South Carolina. She completed further graduate studies at Tuskegee
University and the Citadel.
Mrs. Shubrick's teaching career spans three decades and began at Beck
Middle School as a fourth-grade teacher. She is a retired educator who
has returned to teaching.
Since her youth, she has been a dedicated church worker. Even in her
adult life she continues to serve the Lord by helping others. She has
been an usher, member of the Trustee Board, Senior Missionary Society,
Senior Choir, Chairperson of Senior Graduation, and many other committees.
Currently, she serves as President of the Ministers' Wives and Widows'
Auxiliary of the Jerusalem Baptist Missionary and Education Association.
She is also a member of the Ministers' Wives Auxiliary of the Kingston
Lake Association and an assistant Sunday School Teacher at True Vine
Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shubrick is a member of the New Light Baptist Church in Georgetown,
S.C. and a dutiful minister's wife who works side by side with her husband
in promoting God's Kingdom. Her positive attitude, indomitable spirit,
secure determination, boundless energy, and inner strength ignite the
spirits of everyone around her.
